The Lord God to Israel … the chosen nation of the Lord:
O Israel …
… how I have loved you!
How have I loved you, do you know?
Do you know to what extent I have loved you?
Do you know how long I have loved you … in great love, adoration, and broken-heartedness?
When will you return my love?
For your Lord pines away for you …
… desiring you to come back unto Him as a greatly loved wife who goes away, seemingly never to return.
But, I will come after you O “State of Israel”, my nation whom I have re-created and brought back from the dead, after many, many centuries and years of desolation!
I have been searching you out and now I have found you to be ready.
Your love, however has left you.
To where has it gone?
To other gods, to other idols, to the works of your hands?
Worse … to the pursuit of the other peoples, lands, and nations?
Even worse … to peace and security, both of falsity, for that which is not from Me?
I come now for you O Israel …
… to take you back, at ANY and ALL costs …
… to redeem AND love you!
