The Lord God says unto Israel these words of advice:
Hear, O heavens, and give ear, O Earth! * (1)
You have rebelled against the Lord your God, and have done so throughout your history ever since you became a great multitude through the children of Jacob (those who were also the grandchildren of Isaac and the great-grandchildren of Abraham).
Nevertheless, O children of God, even at your highest levels of Tribal heritage you have been rebellious unto the Lord.
However, O Israel, did I not bring you back from time, captivity, and the nations to RESTORE your sovereignty and independence, giving you a partial measure of the lands I previously promised unto your forefathers? * (2)
Yet even in these recent and modern times since the end of the war and desolations, * (3) and shortly afterwards when you declared your independence and became a nation amongst all the nations of the world …
… you have been even more rebellious than your ancestors during these past seventy-four and seventy-one years.
Therefore, O Israel, what shall the Lord do regarding your rebelliousness?
