The Day of the Lord will be Full of Comfort Only to Those Who Call Upon God in Praise AND Repentance …
The Almighty CREATOR God says thusly to humankind:
Repent – for the End is NOW!
For those who seek the ways of the world through sin, iniquity, and abomination unceasingly (who worship other gods, [other persons], and / or the works of their own hands), such is coming imminently, as clearly and concisely written:
The Day of the LORD
16 Therefore the LORD God of hosts, the Lord, says this:
“There shall be wailing in all streets,
And they shall say in all the highways,
‘Alas! Alas!’
They shall call the farmer to mourning,
And skillful lamenters to wailing.
17 In all vineyards there shall be wailing,
For I will pass through you,”
Says the LORD.
18 Woe to you who desire the day of the LORD!
For what good is the day of the LORD to you?
It will be darkness, and not light.
19 It will be as though a man fled from a lion,
And a bear met him!
Or as though he went into the house,
Leaned his hand on the wall,
And a serpent bit him!
20 Is not the day of the LORD darkness, and not light?
Is it not very dark, with no brightness in it?
Amos 5:16-20
Yet there is an alternative, says the Lord:
As also written:
14 Seek good and not evil,
That you may live;
So the LORD God of hosts will be with you,
As you have spoken.
15 Hate evil, love good;
Establish justice in the gate.
It may be that the LORD God of hosts
Will be gracious to the remnant of Joseph.
Amos 5:14-15
Seek the Goodness and grace of God by striving to live a sinless life through ceasing sin and repentance unto God and the Lord your God will grant such, as written:
4 Yea, though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death,
I will fear no evil;
For You are with me;
Your rod and Your staff, they comfort me.
Psalm 23:4
Do so, and such will come to pass, as further written:
6 Surely goodness and mercy shall follow me
All the days of my life;
And I will dwell in the house of the LORD
Forever.

And do such even BEFORE the Great and Terrible Day of the Lord comes upon the whole Earth like a thief in the night …. and this will come to pass for those who very truly and sincerely believe in God through absolute faith in Christ Jesus – the Lord and Savior of the whole Earth, as written:
13 But I do not want you to be ignorant, brethren, concerning those who have fallen asleep, lest you sorrow as others who have no hope. 14 For if we believe that Jesus died and rose again, even so God will bring with Him those who sleep in Jesus.
15 For this we say to you by the word of the Lord, that we who are alive and remain until the coming of the Lord will by no means precede those who are asleep. 16 For the Lord Himself will descend from heaven with a shout, with the voice of an archangel, and with the trumpet of God. And the dead in Christ will rise first. 17 Then we who are alive and remain shall be caught up together with them in the clouds to meet the Lord in the air. And thus we shall always be with the Lord. 18 Therefore comfort one another with these words.

34 ”But take heed to yourselves, lest your hearts be weighed down with carousing, drunkenness, and cares of this life, and that Day come on you unexpectedly. 35 For it will come as a snare on all those who dwell on the face of the whole earth. 36 Watch therefore, and pray always that you may be counted worthy to escape all these things that will come to pass, and to stand before the Son of Man.”
Luke 21:34-36
For the Lord will say this to those who love God, who are obedient to Him through His laws and commandments, who believe in the Lord Jesus Christ, as revelationally written in finality:
10 Because you have kept My command to persevere, I also will keep you from the hour of trial which shall come upon the whole world, to test those who dwell on the earth.
