God will Reveal a Second Messenger to Prepare the Way Before the Second Coming of the Holy One …
The Almighty God speaks these words unto mankind and the world:
When the Lord’s messenger who comes in the spirit of Elijah * (1) goes forth to prepare the way before the MESSENGER of the COVENANT … * (2)
… then this messenger will be as the one who preceded him, who also prepared the way before the MESSENGER of the COVENANT at His first coming unto the Earth. * (3)
The previous messenger, from the time of old, was this one who preceded the Son of God, as prophesied:
“The voice of one crying in the wilderness:
‘Prepare the way of the Lord;
Make straight in the desert
A highway for our God.’”
Isaiah 40:3
And further, written explicitly, fulfilling Isaiah’s prophecy in partiality:
“In those days John the Baptist came preaching in the wilderness of Judea, and saying, ‘Repent, for the kingdom of heaven is at hand!’ For this is he who was spoken of by the prophet Isaiah, saying:
‘The voice of one crying in the wilderness:
“Prepare the way of the Lord;
Make His paths straight.”’”

However, when the new messenger comes in the spirit of Elijah before trouble and Tribulation, of that time which begins with the “Great and Terrible Day of the Lord” …
… he shall also prepare the way before the MESSENGER of the COVENANT …
